The customer specializes in design, production, distribution, commercial and financial activities. Active in the automotive sector – segment of agricultural machinery and engines for marine applications.
It is present in 180 countries, has more than 64,000 employees divided into 66 production plants (21 in Italy) and 54 R&D centres.
The group has an extremely extensive and complex estate, subject to continuous variations due to the processes that continually require properties. It therefore had difficulty managing the technical data effectively. For this reason, the Facility Managers were looking for a solution to manage the workplaces in a timely and effective way: the size and functional use of physical spaces and their occupation by staff.
In addition, the organisation needed to manage the workstation assignment processes, operationally delegated to service providers, with great agility. Manage the planning and the critical issues. Monitor correct execution and outcome.
We developed an application based on the Space Management module, customized to the client’s requirements. The solution allows you to:
- upload CAD floor plans directly from the AutoCAD environment and manage them via the web.
- determine the intended use and a large number of management attributes for each compartment.
- position the workstations and assign them to the staff, the list of which is obtained by interfacing with the customer’s HR system, managing an assignment process that can also be very complex.
